TITANIC FRANCIS D. MILLET (d. 1912) Prominent American artist who sailed aboard the Titanic with his friend, Major Archibald Butts, the pair both losing their lives in the sinking of the ship. A.L.S. "F. D. Millet", 2pp, 8vo., Washington, DC, [n.d.], in part: "...I wish I could , but I can't get home in time to go to the Kane lodge on Tuesday - besides I don't see how I, an outsider, could enter a lodge!! I shall have to stay here until midnight on Tuesday so, all scruples apart, I am unable to be present...". Very good.
