SHRINERS
A fine lot of three badges and two medals issued by the Ancient Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine (Shriners), includes a fine example from St. Paul, Minn., 1908, a two-part badge with hanging enameled pyramid with a smiling Shriners head emerging from a multi-colored maple leaf against a Ramses Temple, attached to a sword going through the crescent moon, with the words "Toronto" and "Ramses Temple" in raised lettering; an excellent 1907 two-part badge in bronze, with image of Paul Revere during his famous ride, set within a pyramid, Boston, attached to an avant-garde rendering of the Great Sphinx standing inside the crescent moon, holding a giant sword. Along with a three-part badge, Louisville, Kentucky 1909, an Imperial Council medallion with image of a race horse attached to crescent moon and a Shriner's enameled image at center, connected to a partially-enameled pyramid, with the lettering "AAONMS". This is an official badge. We also offer two examples of the June 10, 1968 Bronze Medal issued by Medallic Art, Co., measuring 60mm. On obverse is: "Es Salaam Aleichem, Aleichem Es Salaam", with an image of a Shriner with two children. On reverse is reads: "Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order...Nobles Mystic Shrine (1893-1968)", with sword, Shriner and crescent moon with star are raised in the center. Medals are both in excellent condition. A wonderful grouping, five pieces.
