KRACOW GHETTO DOCUMENTS A rare set of four retained typed documents from the Krakow Ghetto, three being 4to. and one 8vo., from late 1942 and in German, originating from an architecture and construction company that employed Jewish workers from the Ghetto. Each document is from 1942, the time when only people who were working could save themselves from being sent to concentration camps. The first document dated Dec. 11, 1942, concerns the dismissal of a worker named Salomon Mastbaum; the second, dated Dec. 10, 1942, was sent to the Work Office in the Ghetto, informing it about the return of fifteen workers along with their work permits; the third, dated Nov. 17, 1942, is a list of Jewish nineteen Jewish workers employed in the construction company Tadeusz Rutkowski in Krakow, two of whom are listed as "ill". At bottom is a docket reading: "list verified by Mr. Kozlowski"; and the fourth, dated Nov. 10, 1942, was sent to the Work Office in the Ghetto with a request for six workers for a company working on the Eastern Railway. Each lightly toned with file holes at left margin, but overall very good condition. Four pieces.
