EUGENE O'NEILL(1888 - 1953) American author who rose from being a derelict seaman to write The Iceman Cometh and Emperor Jones and to win a Pulitzer Prize. Fine association signed book, Tales of Unrest, by Joseph Conrad, Doubleday, Page & Co., New York, 8vo., soft leather covers, signed on the illustrated front flyleaf: "Eugene O'Neill Old Peaked Hill Bar 1920". Front cover and first three pages are neatly detached, spine and cover edges worn, worthy of a bit or restoration. Peaked Hill Bar was an old Coast Guard station O'Neill had converted into one of his first seaside homes.
