EDWARD FRANCIS HUTTON(1875 - 1962) American financier and co-founder of E. F. Hutton & Co. T.L.S. "Ed. Hutton", 1p., 4to., Palm Beach, FL, March 13, 1950, to Martha Rountree, journalist with Meet the Press, explaining that an error by his secretary resulted in a statement (included) not being sent earlier. The statement which was made to the Palm Beach Daily News consists of six typed pages. In part: "...The following is an effort on my part to check trends toward State Socialism. I do believe that in America and Great Britain business, as such, has a responsibility in social and moral questions. The facts should be explained, in no uncertain language, to those who work with their hands, and have them feel that they are a part of the system, and not apart from it...we must view with alarm how successfully the politicians in both our countries have built up class legislation and class distinction, dividing our peoples. This is the most dangerous road a man can travel...". Very good.
Estimate $ 200-300
