EISENHOWERFine association T.L.S. as President on White House letterhead, 1p. 4to., Washington, Dec. 22, 1958, to famed General Maxwell Taylor, in part: "...Thank you so much for your note of greetings for the holiday season on behalf of the men and women of the Army. Unification minded I may sometimes be, but I never fail to get a particular feeling of gratification when I am remembered by the members of the Service in which I spent so large a part of my adult life...". Taylor (1901 - 1987) is best remembered as U.S. Army Chief of Staff who fought in Sicily, Normandy, and in Operation Market Garden. Fine.
