ASSASSINATION OF WILLIAM MCKINLEY A small grouping of material related to the shooting of President William McKinley at the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo on Sept. 6, 1901. Included is a black-bordered mourning program for a memorial service held by Masons for McKinley in Columbus, a postcard from the Temple of Music where McKinley was shot, a cabinet card showing McKinley and his wife with a notation on verso indicating that it was purchased "at Buffalo the day after the attempted assassination of the President...", a paperbound booklet, The True Story of the Assassination of President McKinley at Buffalo, by Richard H. Barry, 48pp. 8vo., Buffalo, 1901, and a second book, Life of William McKinley and Complete Story of His Assassination, by Marshall Everett, 1901. Books show wear, balance is very good.
