20TH CENTURY POLITICS AND BUSINESS A lot of fifteen pieces featuring various political and business figures' papers, from roughly 1915 through 1980. Highlights include A.N.S. from EDWIN DENBY, "Yours very truly, Edwin Denby", 1p, 12mo, on embossed "Secretary of the Navy" letterhead, Feb. 15, 1924, one month before he was forced to resign for participation in the Teapot Dome Scandal, some foxing, else fine, and an A.L.S. by JOHN MCCORMACK, 1p. 8vo. on his personal letterhead, Boston, Aug. 5, 1977. The former Speaker of the House of Representatives writes a colleague, in part: "...I do not know now who the Republicans will run but they will need someone who is a progressive, and not an ultra conservative, like Reagan". Other signatures include SIDNEY HILLMAN (Congress of Industrial Organizations founder), and JOHN FRANCIS "Red Mike" HYLAN (New York City Mayor from 1918 to 1925), JOHN S.
