Prince, Bobby Z & Wendy "Purple Rain" Stage-Worn Outfits (3)
Three dazzling outfits worn during Prince & The Revolution's 1984-85 "Purple Rain" tour by Prince himself, drummer Bobby Z. Rivkin and guitarist Wendy Melvoin. This important stage-used outfit lot includes: 1) Prince's pink velvet waistcoat and tight-fitting pants accented with purple and deep blue flower designs, white silk shirt with puffed collars, sleeves and shoulder pads, white lace gloves with an attached bracelet, and white lace pocket handkerchief, 2) Bobby Z's deep purple floor-length coat and trousers with gold glitter flower designs, off-white shirt with puffed sleeves and neck and faux pearl buttons, and 3) Wendy's paisley blouse with shoulder pads and eleven buttons, paisley slacks and paisley boots with silver buckles. This stunning collection of items is in superb condition and was originally acquired by the current owner from a member of The Revolution in the early 1990's. Also included are two backstage laminates from the tour. With an LOA from the original owner. It really doesn't get much better than this!
